Grace Baptist Church, situated in Winterset, Iowa, is a community of individuals who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Savior. We are dedicated to the spiritual transformation of one another with God's Word so that each one lives out Jesus' character and serves Him well.

We believe in the authority and sufficiency of Scripture and that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

We desire to glorify God and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christian growth is similar to human beings. Just as a baby needs milk to grow and be healthy, so do people who have begun a new life in Jesus Christ.

TEACH US TO PRAY

Christians are to be Christocentric in their lives—Jesus is the most important person for life. As such, it behooves the Christian to learn more about Jesus.

The Old Testament prophet Isaiah paints a beautiful, multi-faceted picture of Jesus Christ which fosters trust and love.

TEN24 CARE GROUPS

Sunday afternoons are small groups hosted in two homes of people who attend church.

The purpose of the TEN24 Care Groups is drawn from Hebrews 10:23-25. It is to minister to one another in life's journey, encouraging one another to love God and serve others.

Pastor Brian & Caryl Demers

Pastor Brian Demers joined Grace Baptist Church in October 2024, bringing with him twenty-five years of pastoral experience from two churches located in Maine and upstate New York.

Raised in Maine, Pastor Demers graduated high school in 1988. Convinced that God had called him to pastoral ministry, he pursued a college degree in pastoral studies with a focus on Biblical counseling. After graduating in 1992, he returned to Maine in order to gain practical pastoral experience in a local Baptist church. He was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 2001.

In 1997, Pastor Demers married Caryl, who also hails from Maine. Together, they have three adult children—a daughter and two sons—as well as a daughter-in-law.
